Communication from the Märkisch-Oderland waste management company (EMO):
Due to the persistent winter weather and the recurring snowfall, there are currently problems with the disposal of household waste, paper bins, yellow bags and yellow bins. The accessibility of certain roads and side streets is currently not always suitable for 25-tonne lorries.
The Märkisch-Oderland waste disposal company asks all citizens of the district for their understanding. In cooperation with the contracted companies, we are endeavouring to maintain waste disposal even under these extreme conditions.
We ask the citizens for their help!
Only together can we succeed in mastering this special situation:
Please place the waste containers for collection on the nearest easily accessible road.
Please keep the collection points free of snow.
Please help to ensure that the roads are passable.
Please park your car so that the waste disposal vehicles can drive through.
As long as the special weather situation continues, there may still be delays in waste disposal.
