Press release from the State Road Administration dated 4 August 2023
The bridge over the pipeline road at the former waterworks on the L 233 (Berliner Straße) near Hennickendorf (Märkisch-Oderland) is being renovated. The preparatory work began last week. From Monday, 14 August 2023, the severely damaged tunnel structure will be repaired under full closure. The work on the bridge is expected to continue until the end of October 2023. The full closure is necessary as there must be no vibrations on the bridge during the renovation work.
Traffic coming from the B 1 federal road will be routed via the L 23 to Hennickendorf and then onto the L 233 or in reverse order. At the junction of the L 233 with the L 23, traffic will be regulated by roadworks traffic lights. The lido can still be reached on foot or by bike from both directions. Anyone travelling to the lido by car should use the access road via Friedrichstraße to Berliner Straße in Hennickendorf.
During the work, a shotcrete shell will be produced to reinforce the bridge. A total of approx. 1050 bonded anchors will be inserted, 12 tonnes of reinforcing steel will be installed and approx. 80 m³ of shotcrete will be applied in three layers.
The repair of the bridge serves as preparation for the renovation of the L 233 (Berliner Straße) on this section. The state road authority is planning to completely rebuild the Berliner Straße in 2024. Further information on this construction project will follow in due course.
The road authorities ask for your understanding for the restrictions.
