In the Lange-Damm meadows in the Hennickendorf district, 4 dead cranes have so far been recovered that were infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza.
If private individuals find dead birds, the following applies:
Do not touch the animal under any circumstances, but report the find immediately to the responsible veterinary office in the district of Märkisch-Oderland on 03345 / 8506901 or by e-mail to veterinaeramt@landkreismol.de. Please state where the animal was found (if possible with GPS information), species, name of the reporter and telephone number. The removal of the carcasses will be organised from here.
