Due to necessary repair work on the Mühlenfließbrücke bridge, there are restrictions on the A10 motorway between the Barnim and Spreeau junctions. You are urged to stay on the motorway and not drive through the municipality in order to save a few minutes.
Period:
15 September 2025, 8:00 a.m. to 13 October 2025, 4:00 p.m.
You need to know this:
- Traffic in both directions (Dresden/Frankfurt Oder and Hamburg/Prenzlau) will be routed on a shared carriageway.
 - This means that only one lane is available in each direction.
 - The maximum speed is 60 km/h.

Rüdersdorf slip road closed:
The slip road to the A10 in the direction of Dresden/Frankfurt Oder is closed during this period.
A diversion is signposted and takes place via the Berlin-Hellersdorf junction (U-turn).
Autobahn GmbH will provide information about the measure on 12 September 2025 in a detailed press release, which we are publishing here:
Fit for the future
Start of welding repairs to the Mühlenfließ Bridge
Urgent appeal to stay on the motorway
Next week, on 15 September 2025, the first work will start in preparation for the replacement of the Mühlenfließ Bridge on the A10 motorway near Rüdersdorf.
"This is a welding repair of the two substructures"
explains Ronald Normann, Director of the North-East Branch of Autobahn GmbH des Bundes. The measure is urgently needed to ensure that traffic can continue to be kept open parallel to the planned replacement of the Mühlenfließ Bridge.
"During the first four weeks, we will only be able to keep traffic moving in one lane in each direction for construction reasons. Corresponding obstructions and traffic jams are certainly to be expected,
says Normann. The necessary work is planned so that it can be carried out as quickly as possible.
"We know how much of a burden this is. For road users, but also for the municipality, as some people will certainly try to avoid traffic jams by driving through Rüdersdorf just to save a few minutes. We are therefore already calling on people to stay on the motorway and not to clog up the local roads and expose local residents to unnecessary stress,
says the director of the branch. Autobahn GmbH has no influence on the diversions instructions of the individual navigation providers.
Procedure of the work
- 15.09. to 13.10.2025

All traffic will be diverted to the eastern section of the structure (directional carriageway at the Barnim junction). During the construction period, one lane in each direction will be available on the bridge for around four weeks. During this phase, the western section of the structure (Spreeau triangle carriageway) will undergo welding repairs.
- October 2025

In October, traffic will be completely transferred to the western structure (Spreeau triangle carriageway) and the eastern section of the structure will also be repaired in terms of steelwork. Afterwards, two lanes in each direction will be available again on the Mühlenfließ Bridge.
- Beginning of 2026

Further reinforcement measures are planned for the eastern section of the structure (directional carriageway at the Barnim junction).
"The Mühlenfließbrücke bridge will be completely replaced by a new structure in the coming years. We are upgrading the existing structures now so that traffic can continue to flow safely during the construction period,
says Normann. This means that road users will not have to put up with a full closure, but only with reduced lanes. No further restrictions are planned. Ronald Normann:
"We have planned the work in such a way that, as far as possible, it will only take place under or on the structure. The contracted construction company and our construction supervisors have been instructed to show particular consideration for the residents directly affected and to take appropriate precautions during all work."
According to the director of the north-east branch of Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, there will also be another public information event at which the construction process will be presented once again in detail.
"This information event will be the third. The constant dialogue with citizens has worked very well so far and should continue to do so. Just like the intensive and good dialogue with the town hall."
The date for the planned information event depends on the exact construction schedule.
"We always want to provide citizens with accurate information",
says Normann.
Background
The Mühlenfließ Bridge is part of the southern Berlin ring road of the A10 motorway. Multiple structural inspections and maintenance measures carried out with the aim of preserving the structure clearly showed that only a new replacement structure would make sense for long-term, safe and sustainable operation. This
the surrounding communities will be relieved, traffic restrictions can be lifted and noise protection will be significantly improved. The work that is now beginning will ensure that the Mühlenfließ Bridge remains safe to use until the new replacement structure is completed and that traffic can continue to flow during the construction period.
