The newly extended Kageler Weg in Lichtenow was officially opened on 12 June 2025. Around 30 guests accepted the invitation from the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin and the Lichtenow local council to attend the inauguration.
Mayor Sabine Löser thanked the construction companies involved and the administration's civil engineering department for the successful realisation of the project. Herbert Peschke, head of the local authority, praised the smooth running of the project. Residents were always kept well informed and there were hardly any restrictions.
The 248 metre long residential road was completely resurfaced, paved and provided with functional green spaces. The construction costs of around 300,000 euros were financed entirely from the municipality's own funds.
A champagne reception, non-alcoholic drinks and freshly grilled sausages were offered at the celebration.
