Stories about the women's place Johanna Elberskirchen

On Saturday 17 May, we invite you to immerse yourself in the world of Johanna Elberskirchen, a women's and gay rights activist. To mark the International Day of Action against Homo-, Bi-, Inter- and Transphobia and also the anniversary of the death of this extraordinary woman, we will meet at 2 pm at Johanna Elberskirchen's memorial plaque on the Peter-Lübkes Bridge. Elio Jay Gäbelein, project coordinator of FrauenOrte im Land Brandenburg, will give us an insight into Johanna Elberskirchen's varied and eventful work between the women's, gay and labour movements.

Just last year, Johanna Elberskirchen became the 49th FrauenOrt in the state of Brandenburg.
