Vernissage: "Life Intersection" by Gisèle Nubuhoro

On Tuesday, 15 October, the new town hall exhibition "Life Intersection" by Gisèle Nubuhoro will open in the council chamber of the town hall. After the opening by Mayor Sabine Löser, the artist will provide insights into her work, inspirations and creative processes. The programme will be accompanied by music from the Hugo Distler Music School.

"My artwork takes you on a journey of my personal experiences. What I have been through has taught me a lot about life; there is no formula for life. When natural disasters or wars occur, everyone reacts in the same way, regardless of their skin colour, origin, cultural orientation or language. In this sense, we humans have something in common that I call the human intersection. My artworks contain a message of hope for people on the run and for society as a whole, a message of humanity and tolerance."

Gisèle Nubuhoro is a German citizen, born and raised in Kigali, Rwanda. With a bachelor's degree in economics, she is employed as an accountant. She discovered her passion for painting more than 10 years ago. In her free time, she works on acrylic paintings in palette knife and mixed media and is particularly interested in abstract painting.

For better planning of the vernissage, please register by Monday, 7 October 2024 at ortsleben@ruedersdorf.de or by telephone on 033638 / 85-316.

The exhibition will then be freely accessible in the town hall corridors on the 1st and 2nd floors until 3 January 2025 during the general opening hours of the town hall.
