Local public transport (ÖPNV) includes the use of buses and trains in Märkisch-Oderland. Rail transport (RB 26 Berlin-Kostrzyn, RB 60 Eberswalde-Frankfurt and S5 S-Bahn from Strausberg to Berlin) is organised and financed by the state of Brandenburg. The 2023-2027 regional transport plan of the state of Brandenburg(https://mil.brandenburg.de/mil/de/themen/mobilitaet-verkehr/bahnen-busse/schienenpersonennahverkehr/landesnahverkehrsplan/) came into force in September 2023.
Based on this, the district of Märkisch-Oderland is planning the use of buses, including trams and the ferry in Strausberg, with the new local transport plan for the period 2025-2029. This affects all routes in the district on which Märkisch-Oderland Bus GmbH (mobus), Barnimer Busgesellschaft mbH, Strausberger Eisenbahn GmbH and Schöneicher-Rüdersdorfer Straßenbahn GmbH operate. The district is conducting a survey in order to better align this planning with the needs of public transport users.
Anyone who would like to formulate their wishes and comments can download the questionnaire from the district's homepage and send it by e-mail to nvp-mol@proziv.de
nvp-mol(at)proziv.de
or by post to the district by 15 December 2023.
These comments and requests will be collated and incorporated into the deliberations of the district councillors. In January, all towns and municipalities will also have the opportunity to comment on the draft that is then available. A resolution on the local transport plan will be passed by the district council in the first half of 2024. Fundamental changes can then be sought for the timetable change in December 2024.
You can find the questionnaire on the Märkisch-Oderland district website:
