Spring cleaning 2026

On 21 March 2026 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin will be holding its traditional spring clean-up. True to the motto "Doing instead of complaining", the aim is to remove rubbish from public areas, along paths and in public green spaces. The organising team from the public order office and the Rüdersdorf Environmental Working Group (RUAK) is once again counting on the active participation of many volunteers, clubs, organisations, parties and associations this year.

We ask you to give advance notice of areas where you wish to collect waste to the Public Order Office on the number below. In the case of larger areas, a container can also be provided if notice is given in good time. Rubbish bags are also available in advance from the public order office (Herzfelde district, Möllenstraße 12, 15378 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin) and the citizens' office (town hall), Hans-Striegelski-Straße 5, 15562 Rüdersdorf, by telephone arrangement.

After the event, please inform the public order office by telephone or e-mail at ordnungsamt@ruedersdorf.de of the locations of full rubbish bags so that the building yard can collect them in a targeted manner.

It is advisable to bring work gloves and possibly also suitable gripping tools on the day of the spring clean.

Clubs/organisations/parties and associations should coordinate their activities with the Public Order Office by 12 March.

There will be a preliminary meeting for spring cleaning one week beforehand on Saturday, 14 March at 10 a.m. in the Herzfelde community centre. Rubbish bags can also be collected here and any final questions about the spring clean can be clarified.

If you have any questions about spring cleaning, please contact the public order office by e-mail at ordnungsamt@ruedersdorf.de or call 033638-85 400 (Ms Herm and Mr Rapsch).

Thanks to call forwarding, this number will again serve as a "hotline" on 21 March 2026 for questions if more bin liners are needed or similar.

If you find hazardous waste (batteries, paints, chemicals), please do not throw it into the containers, but store it separately in a clearly visible place in front of them so that it can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Rüdersdorf district
Waste collection is decentralised. The participants collect in different areas of the village.

Afterwards, all helpers will meet from 12 noon in the community centre of the Protestant church opposite the town hall, where drinks and food (cake from the Friedrich bakery and sandwiches from EDEKA) will be available as a thank-you.

MSV Rüdersdorf will also be opening access to its scrap container on Saturday so that scrap can be handed in during the collection campaign. Citizens can also leave scrap metal on their doorstep - this will be collected by the association on Monday.

Hennickendorf district
In Hennickendorf, participants meet at 10 a.m. at the sports field in the HSV clubhouse. The central division of the collection groups will take place there, the focal points will be determined on site.

After the collection campaign, there will be a lunchtime snack provided by the Hennickendorf local DLRG group. In addition, there is a large container at the lido where, for example, rubbish collected along Berliner Straße can be disposed of.

Herzfelde district
Under the motto "Herzfelde cleans itself", the campaign starts at 10 a.m. at Lindenplatz. This is where the various streets will be divided up, accompanied and coordinated by department heads. From 10 a.m., residents can also place scrap metal outside their front doors. This will be collected by FC Wacker Herzfelde.

At the end of the action, there will be refreshments at the sports field from 12:30 pm, organised by FC Wacker Herzfelde.

Lichtenow district
In Lichtenow, spring cleaning starts at 9 am. Meeting points are the municipal office in Dorfstraße and the corner of Fließweg / Zum Bruch. The Sonneneck daycare centre is also taking part in the campaign. At 12 noon, all helpers will meet at the municipal office, where refreshments will also be provided.

We are looking forward to another successful spring clean and would like to thank all the helpers in advance for their commitment and all the sponsors mentioned for their kind support!

P.S.: Incidentally, RUAK e.V. has also been organising an autumn clean-up in September for several years now: the Kalksee-Uferputz. It is smaller, but has the potential to grow. There is never a shortage of rubbish - you are welcome to help. This year, the shore clean-up will take place on 19 September. You can find out more about this in the municipality's events calendar or write to: ruak.ev@web.de.
