A look back at the Herzfelde Fire Brigade

Herzfelde Fire Brigade takes delivery of a new HLF 20

This modern emergency vehicle will further strengthen the technical and operational capabilities of the Herzfelde local fire brigade and bring about a lasting improvement in its operational readiness for the coming years.

The purchase of the vehicle was funded by the local authority. The total investment amounts to around 742,000 euros. In doing so, the local authority is sending a clear signal of its commitment to strengthening fire and disaster response services, as well as supporting the voluntary work of our firefighters.

Before the vehicle is officially put into operational service, a member of staff from Schlingmann will first provide induction and training for the drivers and other emergency personnel. Only once this training has been completed will the rescue and fire-fighting vehicle (HLF 20) be integrated into regular operational service.

The plan is for the new vehicle to be officially inaugurated and presented to the public in October as part of the celebrations marking the 125th anniversary of the Herzfelde Volunteer Fire Brigade.

We would like to congratulate the Herzfelde Fire Brigade on their new emergency vehicle and wish all members of the brigade a safe journey at all times, successful operations and a safe return from every call-out.
