The election of the mayor will take place in the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin on 23 November 2025. To ensure that the election runs smoothly, the municipal administration is looking for committed citizens who are willing to take part as election assistants. Should there be a run-off election, this will take place on 14 December 2025 - helpers are also needed for this date.
Polling assistants play a central role in the proper organisation of the election. They are on site at the polling station on election day and assist with checking voters' eligibility to vote, issuing ballot papers and monitoring the process. Once the polling stations have closed, they count the votes together and transmit the results to the election management.
As a small thank you for their efforts, the poll workers receive a so-called refreshment allowance: This amounts to 50 euros per election day or 60 euros for the election supervisors.
In principle, anyone who is eligible to vote and has reached the age of 16 on election day can take part. No previous experience is required - all helpers receive a short briefing on their tasks before the election. What is important above all is reliability, diligence and an interest in democratic co-operation.
If you are interested and can help on both election dates, please contact the municipal administration in Rüdersdorf near Berlin as soon as possible. Registration is very simple: a registration form is available at wahlen.ruedersdorf.de. Alternatively, you can also register by e-mail at wahlen@ruedersdorf.de or by telephone on 033638 85-400. Help on just one election day is also possible; these people are usually first assigned as a substitute.
