From Monday, 16 September 2024, the major expansion of Berliner Straße (L233) in the Hennickendorf district will begin. The construction project is divided into several construction phases, which in turn are subdivided into individual construction phases. The work will continue until the end of 2026.
In the first construction phase, the junction between the B1 and Berliner Straße will be rebuilt. As a result, the section between the B1 and "Am Seetor" is fully closed. Residents are allowed to pass through the area.
The responsible state road authority also provided the following information on this in a press release dated 12 September 2024:
L 233: Full closure in Hennickendorf to be set up
The time has come: next Monday, 16 September 2024, the fundamental renovation of the state road L 233 / Berliner Straße in the Hennickendorf district of Rüdersdorf near Berlin (Märkisch-Oderland) will begin. The road will be gradually renewed in several sections until the end of 2026. The construction work will be carried out under full road closure.
With the aim of improving traffic conditions and efficiency, the first project to be carried out is the junction of the
L 233 with the B 1 federal road. The L 233 will have an additional turning lane and the industrial estate will have a traffic-friendly access connection. In addition, a shared footpath and cycle path will be built along the L 233 in the junction area. At the same time, the first construction phase, the carriageway renewal from the junction to the "Alte Ziegelei" residential area, will begin. This will be followed by the other construction phases. Access for residents is guaranteed.
At the B 1 / L 233 junction, it is planned to guide traffic past the roadworks in one lane in each direction at a reduced speed. Traffic will also be temporarily regulated by traffic lights. Details will be announced by the road authorities in good time.
The diversion leads from Hennickendorf via the L 23 in the direction of Herzfelde, from the junction with the B 1 to Tasdorf, via the L 303 to Eggersdorf to the L 234 and from there back to the L 23 to Hennickendorf and vice versa.
