On-site administration - comments and objections to the building rubble landfill are recorded in Herzfelde and Hennickendorf

There is still the opportunity to submit objections and comments on the construction of the landfill site between the districts of Hennickendorf and Herzfelde until 3 June 2022.

Affected parties can also present these orally to the administration. The municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin offers two on-site meetings for this purpose, at which it accepts and records comments and objections verbally.

The following dates are offered:

On 20 May 2022
16:00 to 17:30 in the
Herzfelde Community Centre (OT Herzfelde, Möllenstraße 12, 15378 Rüdersdorf near Berlin)

and

on 24 May 2022
16:30 to 18:00
in the former town hall of Hennickendorf (OT Hennickendorf, Berliner Str. 3, 15378 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin).

Prior registration is not necessary.

In addition, it is still possible to submit written and signed comments and objections to the State Office for the Environment (Department of Technical Environmental Protection 1, Unit T 16, Seeburger Chaussee 2, 14476 Potsdam, OT Groß Glienicke) or directly to the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin (Hans-Striegelski-Str. 5, 15562 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin) by the above-mentioned date. To meet the deadline, the date of receipt by the authorities counts.

Background:

  • The intention is to construct a landfill site for building rubble (landfill class DK 0) approx. 400 metres long and around 40 metres high between the districts of Herzfelde and Hennickendorf.
  • The landfill will be constructed over approx. 17 years, plus time for the landfill base and surface sealing.
  • Approx. 5,860,000 m³ of building rubble is to be stored. This corresponds to approx. 345,000 semi-trailer tippers with a loading volume of 17 m³.
  • Due to direct deliveries to the landfill, an average lorry traffic of 80 lorries per day (26t vehicle) and a maximum of 160 lorries per day can be expected. In addition, there are 20 lorries per day for materials that have to be crushed at the recycling site beforehand.
