Flagging days
The state of Brandenburg regulates the general flagging days in the state of Brandenburg in an administrative regulation. On these days, the offices of the state as well as the institutions and foundations under public law must fly the flag.
In addition, flags may be flown at the town halls on special occasions or events. The municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin generally follows these flagging days.
Darüber hinaus steht es der Gemeinde frei zu besonderen Anlässen ebenfalls besondere Flaggen am Rathaus zu hissen um ein Zeichen zu setzen. Dies wird bspw. bei Besuchen der Städtepartner oder am Tag gegen Homophobie am 17. Mai gemacht. An diesen Tagen wird gesondert über den Anlass der Beflaggung informiert.
