The district of Märkisch-Oderland has today issued a new general ruling that will apply from 27 April 2020. A general ruling is a binding regulation.
Accordingly, all daycare centres, childcare facilities, after-school care centres and schools will remain closed for regular operations. At the same time, there is an expansion of emergency care in the facilities.
From 27 April 2020, the following persons are entitled to emergency care in daycare centres, child daycare facilities, schools and after-school care centres:
- Single parent, if he/she is unable to provide care while working and cannot organise domestic or other individual or private care while working.
- If a parent works in the critical infrastructure and home or other individual or private care cannot be organised during the working period.
It is irrelevant whether the professional activity is carried out in critical infrastructures within or outside the state of Brandenburg.
Emergency care is provided for children of employees from the following areas:
- Healthcare
In the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, in the medical and nursing sectors, in inpatient and day-care educational assistance, in boarding schools in accordance with Section 45 SGB VIII, integration assistance and care for the mentally ill.
- Security and order, administration of justice and law enforcement
Police, correctional services, penal institutions
- Fire brigade
Professional fire brigade / member of a volunteer fire brigade working close to home and ensuring daily availability
- Public utilities and waste disposal companies Energy, waste, water
- Transport and traffic
Rail, public transport, petrol stations, logistics
- Food supply
Nutrition from wholesale warehouse to retail, food producers, food processing companies, agriculture
- Public administration
Areas essential for maintaining security and order
- Banks and savings banks
Personnel required for the maintenance of payment transactions
- Cleaning companies
insofar as they are active in the critical infrastructure
- Educators and teachers
insofar as they are deployed in emergency care or in schools
