Dear citizens and parents,
The state of Brandenburg and the district of Märkisch-Oderland have reintroduced limited regular care in after-school care and daycare centres from Monday, 25 May 2020. We are thus leaving emergency care behind us. Our facilities must and may now offer equal care to all children again. At the same time, strict rules must be adhered to, e.g. regarding group sizes. The managers responsible have not made it easy for themselves to find solutions that do equal justice to as many children as possible. In detail, this means that children who were not allowed to be looked after for the last 10 (!) weeks can now finally be looked after again in our municipal facilities. In return, however, since yesterday, children and their families who were previously in emergency care have had to reckon with some restrictions.
Many parents have reacted with relief, joy and understanding. Others are now facing enormous new challenges and problems. I have great sympathy for you!
"I won't be able to please everyone, but I will stand up for a new way of working together in our community." Many of you voted for me as mayor last year under this motto. It's not an easy job right now. We are being put to a tough test together. Acting in solidarity and not leaving anyone alone with their problems is now our joint task. That is why I am taking your questions and concerns very seriously in this situation. My employees, as well as I personally, will also gratefully accept and consider any tips and advice. I have thought about the best way to do this.
I will therefore be offering a"Parents in Need Consultation" at the town hall (Hans-Striegelski-Straße 5, 15562 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin) on the following dates:
Tuesday, 26 May 2020 from 4 - 7 p.m.
Thursday, 28 May 2020 from 4 - 6 p.m.
Tuesday, 2 June 2020 from 4 - 6 p.m.
Please observe the coronavirus distancing rules, bring a mask and come in groups of no more than four. It is not necessary to register in advance, but please allow for possible waiting times.
