Since today, Friday, the L23 below the Wachtelberg in Hennickendorf has been open to traffic again. Bus route 950 is now also running again on a direct route to Strausberg S-Bahn station.
The reopening ceremony was accompanied by the Hennickendorf e.V. brass band. The road reopening marks the end of around 3 1/2 years of construction work with full road closures and a temporary solution that had previously lasted around 10 years with the help of construction site traffic lights.
