Clubs

With over 90 clubs and societies in the municipality, there is something for everyone to join in and try out. In addition to sporting activities, you can get involved in cultural activities or revive traditions.

There is hardly a sport that is not on offer: Fishing, badminton, basketball, archery, parent-child sports, handball, dog sports, judo, ju-jutsu, martial arts, bowling, weight training, athletics, motor sports, Pilates, rowing, chess, sailing, self-defence sports, senior sports, dancing, table tennis, gymnastics, volleyball, yoga.

The versatility of the clubs and the commitment of all volunteers enrich our community in every respect: traditions are preserved, local chronicles documented, cultural events created, leisure activities offered for children and young people, environmental issues discussed and tackled. Photography, making music and singing together, carnival life, preserving the tradition of mining, carrier pigeon fanciers, theatre and painting are just a few examples of the extensive range of club life.
