Information on waste disposal / collection of recyclables and bulky waste

Although more and more people are getting involved in climate protection and environmental awareness is growing, the number of illegal waste dumps in the neighbourhood of our municipality is unfortunately also increasing. Most waste is disposed of on field and forest paths or car parks that are easily accessible by car. Building rubble, roofing felt, electrical appliances, furniture or tyres... The list goes on and on.

If this waste (e.g. bulky waste, household-type waste, televisions, waste wood, old tyres, mattresses, building rubble, etc.) is stored, deposited or treated outside of authorised facilities, this constitutes illegal waste disposal. This illegal waste disposal constitutes an administrative offence and can be punished with a fine of up to 50,000 euros. Depending on the facts and legal situation, administrative and/or misdemeanour proceedings will be initiated by the responsible waste authority.

Please use the numerous options available for the proper disposal of your waste and recyclables!

For example, private individuals can dispose of waste, bulky waste, asbestos, etc. at the waste transfer station in Rüdersdorf (directly on the B1/B5 - Frankfurter Chaussee between Rüdersdorf OT Tasdorf and Herzfelde) for a fee:

Yellow bags

The waste management company REMONDIS Brandenburg GmbH (Mühlenstraße 1b, 16356 Werneuchen, Tel. 033398 / 849-90) has been commissioned to take back and dispose of sales packaging in the district of Märkisch Oderland. If you have any questions regarding the disposal of yellow bags, please contact the authorised waste disposal company directly.

On the day of collection, the yellow bags must be well tied up and placed at the side of the road by 06:00 am at the latest (the evening before at the earliest!). Collection takes place fortnightly, please refer to the collection schedule in the waste calendar or the EMO website(https://www.entsorgungsbetrieb-mol.de/de/abfallkalender.html) for the exact collection dates

Bulky waste disposal

Private households can have approx. three cubic metres (3 m³) of bulky waste collected three times a year. Each waste owner must register the disposal themselves:

You will receive notification of your appointment within four weeks by reply card or e-mail.

Only the registered bulky waste is to be placed on the roadside by 06:00 a.m. at the latest (the evening before at the earliest!), in an accident-proof manner.

Provision of yellow bags or bulky waste for collection

The public order office is increasingly noticing that bulky waste and yellow bags are being put out well before the collection date. As a result, there is a risk of the waste being dispersed in the wind, the yellow bags tearing or the piles of bulky waste "growing" overnight.

In addition, the aforementioned times are regulated in the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin by a regulatory ordinance. Violations of this can be penalised with a fine of up to 1,000.00 euros.

Avoidable and unnecessary costs

Clean-up campaigns cost the municipality a lot of money, which is then lacking in other important areas.
At Entsorgungsbetrieb Märkisch-Oderland (EMO), this results in an increase in fees.

In this context, we would like to point out once again that reports of illegal disposal will be accepted and, if necessary, forwarded to the waste authorities in Seelow!

In the interest of an attractive townscape and the protection of the surrounding nature, we thank you for your co-operation in proper disposal!
