After several years of repair work on the bridge structure over the Kalkgraben, the second lane was opened to traffic on Thursday, 25 July 2019 at 10 a.m.
Among those present were Mr Tulke from the state road authority as the funding body, Dr Nachtigall for the local development and tourism committee and Mr Maaß for the Rüdersdorf local advisory council, as well as colleagues from the construction companies and our building authority.
Special thanks were expressed to SRS for the good cooperation on this joint project, to Mr Klipstein and Mr Martin from the WKP planning office, to Mr Zschärn from Strabag, to Cemex for making part of the company premises (works road in the Kesselsee area) available for the bypass and to the state of Brandenburg for funding the project.
The maintenance will cost a total of 2.8 million euros and will be completed at the end of September after further temporary closures at the ends of the bridge.
Last but not least, we would like to thank all citizens and direct neighbours for their understanding.
