On the initiative of the climate protection officer, Mr Thomas Lippert, the municipality has purchased two electric bicycles for business trips by the administration and the building yard. The e-bikes, which have a range of up to 80 kilometres, were handed over in front of the town hall on Tuesday. Many journeys can now be made by employees on the environmentally friendly e-bikes instead of by car.
A cargo bike for the building yard will be delivered shortly. This will also benefit the groundskeeper, who will be able to conveniently transport tools and materials to places he cannot reach by car.
