Every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Reinhard Kienitz, the local chronicler of the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin, holds consultation hours at the Kulturhaus. For 20 years, citizens have had the opportunity to obtain information in a personal conversation. In most cases, Mr Kienitz provides historical facts, dates, buildings and information about people. His enormous knowledge of the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin is remarkable and is greatly appreciated by many citizens, but also by the municipal administration.
In close cooperation with the municipality, he has made significant knowledge available to the general public over the years, e.g. in the form of historical plaques. A success story of which we are extremely proud. He was instrumental in the preparations for the 775th anniversary celebrations and their commemorative publication. His commitment to the 100th anniversary of the town hall should not be forgotten. Mr Kienitz has also given countless lectures and offered guided tours of the municipality. His unbureaucratic, uncomplicated and friendly manner makes working with him extremely pleasant.
After so many years of voluntary work in the municipality, Mr Kienitz is retiring at the end of the year.
We would like to thank him for the many years of our work together. Thank you, on behalf of all the citizens whom Mr Kienitz has helped with his knowledge and a big thank you for the many interesting anecdotes and exciting stories, which we will miss.
We wish him all the very best!
