From Monday, 27 October 2014 at 7.00 am until Friday, 31 October 2014 at 12.00 noon, there will be a sectional full closure of this road due to the asphalting work on Straße der Jugend. (Corner of Dr. Külz-Straße - Kulturhaus access road and Kulturhaus - Heinitzstraße access road).
This means that traffic routing in the Kalkberger Platz residential area will have to be changed for this period.
The one-way street regulation will be cancelled in various phases, and only the lower or upper road into the residential area will be usable as an entrance and exit at times.
Please pay attention to the signposting and inform yourself in good time/daily about access and exit options to and from the Kalkberger Platz residential area!
It is imperative to avoid driving over the fresh tarmac before it has been cleared! Offences will be punished.

Information on the individual construction phases:
1. Corner of Schulstraße in front of the retirement home - until approx. mid-October 2014
A rainwater lamella separator will be installed on the corner of Schulstraße in front of the retirement home in the next few days. The approx. 6.50 m deep excavation pit is currently being constructed for this purpose. The lamella separator is necessary due to a requirement from the lower water authority in order to clean the rainwater that accumulates in the main stormwater drain in Hans-Striegelski-Straße before it is discharged into the Kalkgraben. This will save the municipality the costs of discharging rainwater in future. The structure will be moved into the excavation pit using a large mobile crane. The construction work at this point will continue until around mid-October. Due to necessary traffic restrictions, traffic obstructions at the Schulstraße / Hans-Striegelski-Straße junction are to be expected.
2nd construction phase Dr. Külz-Straße via Kalkberger Platz to Heinitzstraße - until approx. November 2014
The construction work in the section from Dr Külz-Strasse via Kalkberger Platz to Heinitzstrasse is proceeding according to plan. The ancillary facilities are currently being constructed and preparations are being made for the installation of the gabion wall. Before the asphalt is paved, which is due to take place in October and will require a full road closure for one week, a number of pipes still need to be relocated. In the course of the installation of the gabion wall, which will take place in November, further extensive terrain profiling work and clearing work on the steep embankment will be necessary. All planting and the installation of the remaining street lighting will also take place in November.
Commissioning of traffic light system
Bergstraße / ALDI / retail centre
Ms Sommer from LK MOL informed the meeting that the tender for the commissioning, including the maintenance contract for the above-mentioned traffic light system, was currently being carried out.
It is intended to put the traffic lights back into operation on 30 October 2014.
