Pupils from Hennickendorf primary school 'Am Stienitzsee' have organised a major fundraising campaign under the motto "1000 cranes for Japan". The pupils made cranes, which are offered for a minimum donation of €0.50 in the fundraising campaign. Donors can add a dedication, a thought or a wish to each crane and give it back to the children so that the 1,000 cranes can be sent to Hiroshima and hung up in the Peace Park. The proceeds from the donations will be transferred to a local charitable organisation with the help of Sparkasse Märkisch-Oderland.
You too can take part in the fundraising campaign, because on Tuesday, 12 April 2011 at 10.00 a.m., the children will be collecting donations for your campaign at the weekly market in Rüdersdorf.
