Press release from the State Road Administration dated 11 July 2024
On Wednesday, 17 July 2024, the new bridge over the Stolp Canal between Woltersdorf (Oder-Spree) and Rüdersdorf near Berlin (Märkisch-Oderland) on the L 30 state road will be opened to traffic. The bridge can then be used again by vehicles without weight restrictions.
However, before the bridge can be put into operation, the intersection of Puschkinstraße and Am Stolp in Rüdersdorf bei Berlin will be fully closed for two days from Monday, 15 July 2024. The reason for this is the installation of the carriageway surface course in this area. It will not be possible to enter the communal area of Puschkinstraße even after the bridge has been opened, as it will be extended to a further 50 metres and will therefore remain closed. Those travelling by bike or on foot will not be affected by the restrictions.
The previous diversion route via Berghofer Weg in Woltersdorf is now being dismantled in several sections, including the traffic lights. This may cause temporary obstructions to the flow of traffic.
At the beginning of 2022, the old bridge over the Stolp Canal was closed to vehicle traffic. The structure was demolished, a temporary bridge for cycle and pedestrian traffic was built and the bridge was ultimately replaced. The construction project was rounded off by the ground-up expansion of the L 30 on both sides of the structure and the construction of a shared footpath and cycle path.
