Description of the
The Hennickendorfer Heimatfreunde e. V. has set itself the goal of analysing the history of Hennickendorf and helping to shape Hennickendorf's present.
What do we do to achieve our goals?
- Establishment of a museum: open every last Saturday of the month Setting up a museum: open every last Saturday of the month from 2 - 5 pm, individual guided tours possible at any time by arrangement
- Publishing the local newspaper "Die Wachtel" every month
- Organising the Wachtelberg Festival: this festival always takes place on a Saturday in June from 2 pm at the Wachtel Tower in Hennickendorf
- Looking after the Wachtel Tower: from 1 April to 31 October. only by appointment by telephone on (0171) 7087727 daily from 10:00 to 17:00, individual guided tours possible at any time by appointment
- Supporting the community: cooperation of our members in the community council
- Honouring the people of Hennickendorf who died in the war: design and inauguration of a memorial at the fire station
- Cooperation with other associations: Compilation of the diary in the local newspaper to coordinate club events, publication of articles by the clubs in the local newspaperMutual support for other club festivals
