The Association Assembly of the Strausberg-Erkner Water Association unanimously elected Henryk Pilz, the mayor of Erkner, as its new chairman at its meeting on 8 January 2020.
He succeeds Karsten Knobbe, who stepped down from his position as mayor and thus also as a member representative of the Association Assembly on 31 December 2019. Mr Knobbe was dismissed from the parliament of the Strausberg-Erkner Water Association. Leona Heine - a young singer-songwriter from our association area and musical ambassador of the Brandenburg Day 2016 in Hoppegarten - provided the festive supporting programme.
Ralf Steinbrück, mayor of the municipality of Schöneiche bei Berlin, is also a new member of the association's board. He was also unanimously elected by the member representatives present.
