The WSE informed the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin that the area where the drinking water contamination occurred has now been narrowed down to Berliner Straße in the Hennickendorf district. The search for the cause is continuing with all available means.
The possibility of faeces being deliberately flushed into the drinking water network can be ruled out. Water samples are taken regularly until the problem is solved.
The boiling ban was ordered by the responsible district health authority. As long as concerns remain, the boiling ban will not be lifted.
Two flushing points have already been set up in Berliner Straße. As soon as the public health department no longer has any concerns, all affected residents will be informed.
Until then, the notifications for the districts of Lichtenow, Herzfelde and Hennickendorf will continue to apply.
