Use of the mourning halls prohibited from Tuesday, 24 March 2020

Being able to say goodbye together at a funeral service in the event of a death is an essential part of coping with grief. Nevertheless, the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin is forced to prohibit the use of the funeral halls from Tuesday, 24 March 2020 until further notice.

The funeral service can be held directly at the grave in the closest family circle in accordance with Section 11 (3) No. 2 letter h of the SARS-CoV-2 Containment Ordinance of 22 March 2020.

Reason:
Due to the ongoing corona pandemic and the further tightening of the corona containment ordinance by the state of Brandenburg, the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin considers it necessary to prohibit the use of funeral halls until further notice for the protection of all parties involved. Alternatively, burials can be held in silence and the funeral services can be held later.
