European poster competition "20 years of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child"

To mark the 20th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the European Commission has launched a new poster competition on the subject of children's rights. Under the motto "Draw me a right", children and young people aged 10-18 in all 27 countries are invited to take a close look at the rights of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and to realise them artistically. Teams of four or more are asked to create imaginative posters in DIN A 2 format. Drawings, graffiti, photographs... there are no limits to creativity. For example, the right of children and young people to protection from violence, abuse and neglect, as well as other rights, can be taken up and designed in a meaningful poster.
In addition to a trip to the award ceremony in Berlin in spring 2010, there are also many attractive prizes to be won this year. The German winners will then represent our country in the competition of all 27 EU member states in Brussels. The Citizens of Europe Association is organising and implementing the project in Germany.
Further information on the competition and the application form can be found on the central competition homepage: http://www.eurojugend.eu/ or at http://www.buerger-europas.de/

Closing date for entries is 19th March 2010 !!!
