Giant soap bubbles in the sky, the smell of sausages and popcorn in the air, music in the ears and lots of colourful hands-on activities for young and old; there was all this and more at the neighbourhood festival on 7 September on the grounds of the Rüdersdorf primary and secondary school.
More than two hundred visitors, including some from outside the Brückenstraße / Friedrich-Engels-Ring residential area, came to the neighbourhood festival, which brought the Rüdersdorf Health Days to a festive close with a health market and lots of activities for mental and physical fitness.
Stefanie Bombach, neighbourhood manager in the residential area and co-initiator of the event, opened the festival with head teacher Dirk Treßin, the newly elected mayor Sabine Löser, former mayor André Schaller and the headmaster Dirk Treßin.D. André Schaller and the head of Rüdersdorf, Detlef Adler.
All of them wished themselves and the visitors an enjoyable and exuberant event, which will perhaps establish itself in this way for the residential area and the community and be continued over the years.
The foundation stone for this has been laid: numerous clubs, initiatives, the Brücken pharmacy, the local fire brigade, local companies from the health sector, social organisations and institutions took part in the festival with information and activity stands. The big and little clown, children's make-up station, bouncy castle and a small sporting and cultural stage programme with the Pelle Company, the line dancers and the Zumba group rounded off the spectacle.
Anyone who wanted to win one of the attractive prizes offered by Bücherstube Rüdersdorf, Foto & Reisen Bumke, Museumspark, Ristorante La Luna sul Lago, SV Glück auf e.V., Sportpark, health studio Auf Kurs! the schwapp leisure pool, Wilhelmsbad Woltersdorf and the Erkner cinema diligently collected stamp points at the activity stands.
Sandbag throwing at the fire brigade, shuffleboard at the youth centre, rowing, table tennis, herb guessing, boules and a sensory box are just some of the activities that earned points.
104 valid stamp cards finally ended up in the lottery drum, from which lucky fairy Detlef Adler drew 19 winning numbers at the end of the event.
We are delighted with the prize winners and would like to thank all those involved and sponsors for the successful Kiezfest 2019! We look forward to seeing you again.
The two unclaimed prizes for ticket numbers 007 and 113 are ready for collection at the community centre. Please bring the stub of the stamp card with you.
