A home for bumblebees, bees and co.

Flower meadows enchant with the diversity of flowering meadow herbs and serve as a habitat for numerous animals. Butterflies, bumblebees, hoverflies and wild bees feel just as at home here as numerous species of birds, which pursue the insects to feed their brood.
The creation of flower meadows on municipal land has often been a topic of discussion in the Environment and Health Committee.
Now the building yard of the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin has created a trial flower meadow of around 200 m² on Herzfelder Strasse in Rüdersdorf on Hemmoor-Ring.
In future, further municipal areas are to be embellished with flower meadows.
