A very special GDR art exhibition entitled "Impressions of a big city" was opened on 8 November 2011 at 3 p.m. in the town hall of Rüdersdorf near Berlin.
This exhibition was organised and guided by curator Michael Wiedemann, who enthusiastically told the numerous visitors about the artists and messages of these works.
In the works, the GDR artists such as Fritz Cremer reflect their very own view of the city of Berlin and its living situation in the 70s and 80s.
Messages such as hope, joie de vivre but also eroticism and even sheer irony are conveyed by these outstanding, high-quality works.
The unique exhibition can be viewed until 31 January 2012 in the town hall, Hans-Striegelski-Straße 5.
