As part of the redevelopment of Berliner Strasse by the state road authority, the final work on the current construction phase is now underway.
Access to An den Meisterhäusern
The access road to An den Meisterhäusern will be constructed from 11/08/2025 to 19/08/2025. During the construction period, the properties concerned can only be reached on foot until further notice. In this respect, the construction company requests that vehicles be parked outside the street An den Meisterhäusern before the above-mentioned date and that surrounding parking facilities be used for this purpose. The disposal of recyclable materials (residual waste, yellow dot, paper, etc.) will continue as before, but the waste bins must be placed at a collection point accessible to the waste disposal companies, in this case in front of the junction with Berliner Straße. To avoid confusion, we recommend that you label your bins.
Asphalting between An den Meisterhäusern and Wohnpark am Stienitzsee
From 14 August 2025 to 15 August 2025, asphalt will be laid in the current construction section between the Wohnpark am Stienitzsee and the Meisterhäuser. Due to various preliminary work, access to the properties in the construction site area will therefore only be possible on foot from 11 August 2025.
Construction will take place in 3 layers, the so-called base, binder and surface course, whereby a bitumen emulsion will be sprayed onto the intermediate layer on 14.08.2025, which can adhere to shoes, tyres, etc. immediately after construction and leave behind difficult to remove dirt on carpets, floors, paved surfaces, etc. The construction company carrying out the work therefore asks that the asphalt carriageway is not walked or driven on during the above-mentioned days and that special care is taken.
The actual asphalt paving is carried out using the "hot paving method", which is why the asphalt requires a longer period of time (at least 48 hours) to cool down and set and may not be driven on or parked on during this time. If necessary, please park vehicles outside your property and away from the construction site before the above-mentioned start of construction. Access to the construction area must also be kept clear for heavy construction machinery and delivery traffic (articulated lorries).
Next construction phase between Lindenweg and Bergstraße from 20/08/2025
The responsible state road authority announced that the next construction phase of the fundamental renovation of Berliner Straße in the Hennickendorf district between Lindenweg and Bergstraße is expected to begin on 20 August 2025.
In addition to the necessary traffic safety and road closures, the work includes extensive sewer construction work, the new construction of the carriageway as well as adjustments to the junctions, footpaths, access roads, side roads and green areas.
The properties concerned can then only be reached on foot until further notice. If necessary, the company carrying out the construction work requests that vehicles be parked outside the construction area and outside your property before the above-mentioned date and that you use the surrounding car parks for this purpose.
The disposal of recyclable materials (residual waste, yellow dot, paper, etc.) will remain at the previous frequency, but your waste bins must be placed at a collection point that is accessible to the waste disposal companies, in this case Lindenweg or Bergstraße. To avoid confusion, we recommend that you label your bins. Please contact the construction company directly if you have any queries or problems.
Lindenweg will be accessible via the B1/5. Fischerweg can then only be reached via Lindenweg.
