Handover of the Eulennest daycare centre

On Thursday, 15 May 2025, the new Eulennest daycare centre in Rüdersdorf near Berlin was officially handed over to its future owner. Numerous guests gathered at the address Am Friedhof 8 for this special occasion to celebrate the symbolic handover of the new building to the sponsor.

In the presence of the mayor of the municipality, Sabine Löser, the owner family Wegner, representatives of the construction company MOD21, the architect Mr Seidel, the gardening company Märkisch Grün GmbH and the deputy district administrator Friedemann Hanke, the completion of the construction project, which took around 62 weeks, was honoured.

The new daycare centre offers around 570 m² of usable space and 1,550 m² of play area for a total of 60 children - 40 of them in the Ü3 area and 20 in the U3 area. The first children have already moved in since 5 May 2025 and have enthusiastically accepted the new rooms and the spacious outdoor area.

The new building, which cost around 3 million euros, was constructed by MOD21 GmbH using modular construction methods. The outdoor facilities were designed by Märkisch Grün GmbH from Melchow. The engineering office Dr.-Ing. F. Seidel GmbH from Neuenhagen was responsible for the project planning.

The municipality of Rüdersdorf is delighted with the successful completion of this important project and would like to thank everyone involved for their dedicated cooperation. We wish the Eulennest daycare centre, the children, parents and the entire team a good start and many happy years together in this new place of learning, playing and growing.
