New road construction

Start of 3rd construction phase Waldstraße - full closure from the direction of Woltersdorf

The third and final construction phase of the new Waldstrasse will begin on 3 March 2025. It covers the area between the Immanuel Klinik Rüdersdorf and the Woltersdorfer Schleuse.

The work is being carried out in 3 subsections:

1st section (green) - New construction of the road An der Schleuse to Brunnenstraße in 15569 Woltersdorf

The road in the municipality of Woltersdorf between An der Schleuse from Hotel Kranichberg to Brunnenstraße will be fully closed to vehicle traffic for the construction of the first section, which will begin on 3 March 2025. During this time, access to Brunnenstraße will only be possible from the direction of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin. The work on An der Schleuse is scheduled for completion in May 2025.

2nd section (orange) - New construction of Woltersdorfer Landstraße in Woltersdorf and Waldstraße in Rüdersdorf bei Berlin between Brunnenstraße and the car park access road to the Klinik am See clinic

The work on Woltersdorfer Landstraße and Waldstraße will also be carried out with full road closures for vehicle traffic. Meanwhile, access to Brunnenstraße will be from the direction of Woltersdorf

3rd section (turquoise) - New construction of the Waldstraße in front of the Klinik Am See and the Immanuel Klinik Rüdersdorf

Work on the third section is expected to start in autumn 2025

Bus transport

Bus route 418 of the Oder-Spree bus company via Schleusenstraße/Straße An der Schleuse/Waldstraße will not serve the Schleusen area, the Klinik am See and the Immanuel Klinik Rüdersdorf during the entire construction period. The route will be diverted via Brandenburgische Straße and the Am Stolp bridge in Woltersdorf and through Rüdersdorf bei Berlin to the Brückenstraße bus stop in Rüdersdorf, where passengers can change to the 951 route operated by the Mo-Bus bus company in the direction of the clinics.

PASSENGER CAR

During the construction work, private car traffic and delivery traffic to the clinics will only be possible from the direction of Rüdersdorf.

Pedestrian and cycle traffic

Pedestrian traffic from Woltersdorf to the clinics will be maintained throughout the construction work. Cyclists may also pass through the area, but bicycles must be pushed.

Why full closure?

Unfortunately, a full road closure is unavoidable for the construction work. This is due to the necessary distances for traffic and work safety. Furthermore, amphibian culverts are being installed directly under the carriageway in the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin, which also make a closure necessary. In the municipality of Woltersdorf, a sewer belonging to the Strausberg-Erkner water board is being replaced, which is located directly under the carriageway. A full road closure is also unavoidable here.
