Along the stretch of the currently closed cycle path on the B1 between Gutenbergstraße and the junction with Berliner Straße, a ban has been imposed on cyclists on Bundesstraße 1. This means that cyclists are not allowed to use either the cycle path or Bundesstraße 1 in this area. Even with a speed reduction on the B1, the risk of cyclists being injured by motor vehicles is far too high. This applies in particular to (school) children. To avoid this area, please use the cycle path on Berliner Straße, then cycle via Pappelhain and the cycle path between Herzfelde and Rüdersdorf.
The route between Hennickendorf and Herzfelde, which has not been signposted to date, has been given a sign: footpath, cyclists free.
The state road authority is endeavouring to repair the damage to the currently closed road on the B1 as quickly as possible
The driving ban for cyclists will be controlled by the responsible authorities. We apologise for the restrictions and ask you to observe the bypass.
