Festive days at Lake Stienitz offer a colourful programme for all ages

Press release 2022/31

The Stienitzsee festival will take place from 16 to 18 September 2022. After the traditional festival in the Hennickendorf district had to be cancelled in the last two years due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will open next Friday evening from 6 pm with a youth disco in the marquee. In addition to the musical entertainment on the fairground (OT Hennickendorf, Ringstraße, 15378 Rüdersdorf bei Berlin), various rides will be open until 10 pm.

Saturday morning is then all about the 17th Stienitzsee Open. The cross-country race around Lake Stienitzsee not only offers an attractive route, but also art installations and musical accompaniment along the way. The individual distances (11km, half marathon, 2.1km family run with boat trip, 11km walk and Bambini run) start at 11am. This year, the start and finish will once again be in the centre of Hennickendorf on Ringstraße between the festival site and the sports field.

In addition to fairground rides, there will be a colourful programme for the whole family from 1 pm with bouncy castles, a bungee trampoline, face painting and a children's programme in the marquee. In the evening, there will be a disco in the marquee from 6 pm (admission from 16 years €2, from 18 years €3) until 1 am. At 10 pm there will also be fireworks around the festival grounds. This year's festival ends on Sunday between 10 am and 12 noon with a morning pint and performances by the Hennickendorf brass band and folk choir.

The festival at Stienitzsee is organised by the Hennickendorf local council in collaboration with the Kulturverein Hennickendorf e.V. and supported by many local associations and the municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin. The local council would like to extend special thanks to Henrik Sundström, who sponsored both the fireworks and the stage in the marquee.
