Spring cleaning 2025
On 29 March 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, the municipality of Rüdersdorf near Berlin will be holding its traditional spring clean. The aim is to remove rubbish from public areas, along paths and in public green spaces. The organising team from the public order office and the Rüdersdorfer Umweltarbeitskreis e.V. (RUAK) is once again counting on the active participation of many volunteers, clubs, organisations, parties and associations this year.
There are central meeting points in Hennickendorf and Lichtenow:
- Hennickendorf: 9.30 a.m. at the HSV 90 e.V. clubhouse, Ringstraße 12A
- Lichtenow: 9.00 am at the former village shop, Dorfstraße 44
Cleaning is decentralised in Rüdersdorf and Herzfelde.
As a thank you for their active support, all those involved are cordially invited to enjoy food and drink from 11.30 am:
- Rüdersdorf: Community centre of the Protestant church (Hans-Striegelski-Str. 7, 15562 Rüdersdorf near Berlin, opposite the town hall)
- Hennickendorf: Clubhouse of the HSV 90 e.V., Ringstraße 12A
- Lichtenow: Lichtenow municipal office, Dorfstraße 96
As usual, we ask you to give advance notice of areas where you are planning to carry out an operation to the Public Order Office on the number given. The public order office will hand out rubbish bags in advance by telephone arrangement. Afterwards, please also inform us of the locations of full rubbish bags so that the building yard can collect them. Clubs/organisations/parties and associations should generally coordinate their activities with the Public Order Office.
Some things will be different this year: In times of a tight budget, the municipality cannot provide containers for mixed waste as in previous years. Please ensure that you separate your waste from the outset.
- There will be containers exclusively for compostable green waste. Please make sure that no other waste gets into the containers.
- Always store collected mixed waste separately in bin liners for collection.
- Please also collect glass separately and dispose of it in the municipal glass containers.
- If you find hazardous waste (batteries, paints, chemicals, roofing felt) or bulky waste, please store it separately in a clearly visible place so that it can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
On Saturday, 22 March 2025 at 10 a.m. there will be a short preliminary discussion for interested parties in the courtyard of the public order office at Puschkinstr. 5 in Rüdersdorf. Please let us know if you would like to attend.
In addition to the spring clean on 29 March, there will also be a "Herzfelde cleans itself" campaign in Herzfelde on 12 April : The meeting point is 10 am at Lindenplatz. After the work is done, there will be a small snack on Lindenplatz.
